I constantly preach about the virtues of drawing on the iPad. Especially now when traveling overseas. When I draw an image on the thing, it is reproduced in the digital world, and ready to share. But it is not the same as drawing with a brush on paper.
This image isn't scanned, so I can't say what you see is 100 % accurate. But reproducibility is not everything in drawing. Actually, I suppose it means very little. Here is snapshot of two drawings I did the other morning while sipping morning coffee. I love the size of the moleskine, and the weight of the paper.
The big difference for me when drawing with traditional materials is that nothing digital yet compares to the expressive mark making of a brush. These drawings aren't colored "yet", but working in this book over the weekend made me realize that no matter how adapt I am at working on an iPad, traditional materials are obviously, more natural.
